Foundation for Mind-Body Medicine
The Foundation for Mind-Body Medicine is a non-profit educational and research organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care for Alabama's residents, to improving the scholastic achievements
for Alabama's children, to decreasing the violence in Alabama's schools, and to increasing the success rate of rehabilitation in Alabama's already overcrowded prison system.
These achievements are pursued through educating Alabama residents of the benefits of mind-body therapies and through scientific clinical research on such therapies in conjunction with specific diseases or specific social, behavioral, or environmental conditions. This education and research is based on scientific studies that will be carried out at the
Foundation and various other educational institutions including the National Institute of Health of the U.S. Health and Human Services. The goals of the Foundation for Mind-Body-Medicine for creating a healthier, smarter, and safer.
This goal will be achieved by the following ways:
>> By conducting scientific research in mind-body therapies. This may include the utilization of Relaxation Response, Cognitive Restructuring, Yoga, Special Diets and Guided Imagery.
>> Potentiating the immune response of the body by relaxation and breathing exercises.
>> Publishing the research findings in various reputed journals and sending copies of the articles to all major Alabama libraries.
>> Informing Alabama residents of the latest in the research findings. This will be accomplished by workshops, meetings, lectures, symposia, continuing education programs and through other media mechanisms.
>> Corporate Discussion Groups: group discussions will be conducted to inform the corporate administrations of the health benefits of and cost savings of mind-body therapies and research outcomes.
>> Educational and research updates will be provided to law enforcement officials, administrators of prisons and teachers of educational institutions. This will help them to first understand the benefit of mind-body therapies. Once they learn it then they can incorporate it into their programs.

> The National Institute of Health (NIH), Division of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
Who Benefits from Programs?
The Foundation and its staff strive very hard in the attempt to
bring quality healthcare, security, and education to every citizen
in the State of Alabama. No matter what ethnic background,
financial status or stature, all of Alabama's population deserves
the type of quality healthcare, education and security as those
with the financial means to afford such. Improving the quality of
healthcare, education and security to all of Alabama's residents
will increase the quality of Alabama's population by extending
life expectancy, reducing infant mortality, improvement of
scholastic achievements of our children, reducing crime in Alabama
schools, and improving the rehabilitation efforts in Alabama's
already overcrowded prison system.
The Foundation does not only serve the less fortunate but serves anyone and everyone in need of a better life, better health, improvement in their home and work atmospheres, improvement in academic and sport achievements, and so much more. Mind-Body-Medicine affects the whole person from their mind to their body improving your whole person both physically and mentally.
